Verification roles: How do they work and what are they for?

One of the most crucial features of our system is verification. This system is essential for the proper functionality of BrawlTools’ commands and features, as we obtain a large amount of data directly from the game.

To give your community a more immersive and personalized experience, BrawlTools offers advanced role settings that help your server integrate seamlessly with the bot. One of the key features is automatic role management for verified players.

✅ When a player verifies their account, BrawlTools will remove the “unverified” role (if they have it) and assign the configured “verified” role, as long as you’ve set it up using /verify-roles. If the player is already globally verified, they can simply use /update to sync their profile with your server’s settings.

❌ Important: BrawlTools does NOT assign the “unverified” role automatically under any circumstances. If you want new members to have that role, you must configure a separate welcome bot to assign it when they join your server.
